A contractor hired by the Town of Hinton will start painting new long lines on roads across the community beginning today, July 23, 2026. The work, announced on the town’s website on July 20, will refresh centre lines, shoulder markings, and intersection guides throughout Hinton.
Drivers are asked to slow down and stay alert when passing through work zones. Watch for traffic cones, signs, and workers on the road, and follow all posted directions. The fresh paint will help make travel safer for everyone using local streets.
The project is managed by Infrastructure Services, the town department in charge of road and sidewalk upkeep. Residents with questions can call the office at 780-865-2634 Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., while after-hours emergency lines are answered around the clock.
Road lines naturally fade from traffic, sun, and winter weather. Repainting them is standard summer maintenance to keep markings clear and visible, especially with Hinton’s busy travel seasons.
