Stettler residents have until September 1, 2026 to nominate the local businesses, volunteers, and community leaders who quietly make a difference in the community. The Stettler Regional Board of Trade & Community Development is issuing the call for its annual Business & Citizen Awards.
The awards recognize people and businesses in seven categories: New Business of the Year, Business of the Year, Business Leader of the Year, Customer Service Award, Community Impact Award, Agricultural Impact Award, and Citizen of the Year, which has separate male, female, and youth categories.
“Deadline for nominations is September 1 so don’t delay, submit your nominations today!” reads a post on the Board of Trade website.
Winners will be announced at the Stettler Awards Gala, held each October during Small Business Week at The HUB in the Stettler Recreation Centre. Past recipients are not eligible to win again within four years, so new names are welcomed.
Last year’s winners included Mark Dennis and Shelly Walker as male and female Citizens of the Year, Trinity Chapman as Youth Citizen of the Year, Heartland Auto and Industrial Supply as Business of the Year, and Stettler Emporium as New Business of the Year.
