huStratford General Hospital patients and their loved ones will have a new person dedicated to making sure they feel heard during their care. The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) has hired Jodi Helps as a new Patient Experience Specialist, the organization announced on August 11, 2026.
Helps brings expertise in patient relations, dispute resolution, and case management to the role. Her focus will be on ensuring that anyone receiving treatment or supporting a family member at the Stratford hospital feels valued and listened to throughout their experience.
HPHA runs four hospitals in the region: Clinton Public Hospital, St. Marys Memorial Hospital, Seaforth Community Hospital, and Stratford General Hospital. The addition of a dedicated patient experience role at the Stratford site is part of the alliance’s ongoing commitment to patient-centered care. HPHA already operates a Patient & Caregiver Partner Program with more than 350 volunteers and patient/caregiver partners who contribute to healthcare decisions.
The new position comes as the hospital alliance continues to invest in improving the patient experience. Recently, HPHA received $4.32 million in additional provincial operating funding for the 2026-27 fiscal year, which is intended to help deliver essential services across its facilities.
