Cochrane Public School in Cochrane, Ontario, has launched a new website and mobile app that puts school tools in one place for families. The upgrade brings together payment processing, absence reporting, and transportation tracking into a single digital hub, replacing older systems that required separate logins.
Parents can now use SchoolCash Online to pay fees, report absences through SafeArrival, and check bus routes with BusPlanner Web from the same app. The DSB1 mobile app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, developed by Concept Interactive Inc. under the SchoolBundle platform.
The change comes as the District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) rolls out a broader digital upgrade across its schools. The board serves roughly 7,300 students across 33 schools stretching from Hearst to Temagami, covering 25,000 square kilometres of northeastern Ontario. For families living in remote communities, having a single app reduces the hassle of switching between websites and remembering multiple passwords.

The timing aligns with the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The first day of classes at Cochrane Public School is September 1, 2026, with school hours from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM. The school is located at 2-453 Chalmers Avenue, and Erin Van Clieaf serves as the elementary principal.
DSB1’s digital upgrade supports its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, which focuses on three priorities: Achieve, Belong, and Create. Transportation services for the board are managed through the Transport EnRoute Consortium, with bus routes viewable through the app.
