High Level, Alberta is set for a stretch of warm and sunny weather this week, with temperatures climbing well above the seasonal average before showers are expected to return on Friday. Residents can look forward to several pleasant days for outdoor activities, according to Environment Canada.
Monday brings mainly sunny skies with a high of 26°C, followed by sunny conditions on Tuesday with a high of 26°C and a humidex of 28. Wednesday is forecast to be the warmest day of the week, reaching 29°C, and Thursday remains sunny with a high of 27°C. Environment Canada lists the normal high for this time of year in High Level at about 20°C, so this week’s temperatures are significantly above average.
Overnight lows will start off cool, dipping to 7°C Monday night, but will moderate to 12°C by Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Environment Canada says there are no weather alerts in effect for the area.
The stretch of dry weather is expected to end late Thursday, when there is a 60 percent chance of showers overnight. Showers are forecast for Friday, with a high of 18°C, and a 60 percent chance of showers continues into Saturday. This pattern is normal for August in High Level, which typically sees about 43 millimetres of precipitation over roughly 12 days.
Currently, conditions at High Level Airport are partly cloudy with a temperature of 23.1°C, northwest winds at 12 km/h, and humidity at 34 percent. The UV index is expected to remain moderate, around 4 or 5, during the sunny period.
