Residents of Beausejour, Manitoba are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the Brokenhead River Community Hall on August 27, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 320 Veterans Lane. The event will give community members a first look at the newly refreshed space, with cake, coffee, and tea served throughout the evening.
The hall, operated by the Brokenhead River Recreation Commission, has undergone improvements supported in part by grants from the Brokenhead River Community Foundation. A $1,500 grant in 2018 helped convert the building to LED lighting, and an $8,000 stabilization grant in 2021 assisted operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The facility includes several multipurpose rooms to accommodate community events of various sizes. The largest space, the Brokenhead Room, can host up to 583 people, while the Beausejour Room has a capacity of 292. Smaller Garson and Tyndall meeting rooms each accommodate up to 35 people. The hall also features air conditioning, a kitchen, parking, a sound system, a stage, and wheelchair accessibility.
The Brokenhead River Recreation Commission is jointly funded by the Town of Beausejour and the Rural Municipality of Brokenhead. The grand opening offers residents a chance to explore the updated facility and learn about available spaces for future community gatherings.
