Registration for the 2026-27 Mount Pearl Minor Hockey Association season is now open. Families in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, can sign up their children aged 4 to 18 for house league, rep, or girls hockey programs under the Mount Pearl Blades banner.
The Mount Pearl Minor Hockey Association opened registration on August 19 at noon. The office at Glacier 1 in the Robert Hillier Volunteer Centre is open weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to help with questions. New players must contact the office at 364-5352 and provide two pieces of identification that show a Mount Pearl/Southlands area address.
The Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund offers up to $500 per player for eligible families to help cover registration costs. The fund has $1.3 million available nationally this season.
All parents or guardians must complete the new Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture program before the season begins. At least one parent per registrant must finish the online course.
The association is also working to grow its U9 Girls Program. Dedicated ice times are proposed for Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. for girls born in 2018 and 2019.
