The Rotary Club of Sarnia Bluewaterland has opened applications for its 2026-2027 Community Grant Program, inviting local nonprofits, sports teams, and community groups in Sarnia-Lambton to apply for funding. The club accepts applications twice annually, with deadlines on September 15, 2026 and March 15, 2027.
In the previous grant cycle, the club distributed $14,900 to spring applicants and a total of $33,000 over the 2025-2026 year. Grant proposals can be submitted via email to [email protected].
The club’s five funding priorities are education and literacy, environment, scholarships, basic needs (including food security), and patient services. This year’s grants come at a time when community need is particularly acute, with Lambton Public Health reporting that 25.4 percent of local households experienced food insecurity in 2023-2024.
Funds for the grants are raised primarily through the club’s annual Used Book Sale, which brought in $59,000 in 2026, as well as Art in the Park and Jackpot City Bingo proceeds.
