The 37th Annual Chestermere Country Fair returns to Chestermere on Saturday, September 12, 2026, offering a full day of family activities, local vendors, and rodeo excitement from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Chestermere Recreation Centre, located at 201 West Chestermere Drive.
Organized by the Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society, the fair is the oldest ongoing annual event in Chestermere, held every September. The day begins with a community parade at 9:30 AM in front of the Chestermere Family Bike Park, proceeding north on West Chestermere Drive to the recreation centre.
This year’s fair features a Harvest Market with local vendors, rodeo events including junior bull riding, mutton bustin’, and Ladies Ranch Bronc riding, plus a Kids Zone with a Butterfield Acres petting zoo and ninja obstacle courses. Attendees can also enjoy the Red Ribbon Competition with free entry in categories like baking, quilting, photography, and woodworking, with prizes including ribbons, trophies, and prize money. Whitecappers will serve pie and ice cream, and the popular Zucchini Car Races return for more fun.
The Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society, chartered in 1974, works to encourage improvements in agriculture to enhance quality of life in the community. The society also hosts other annual events such as the Family Fun Fair, Bulls on the Beach, and the Kids Holiday Store.
Some activities, including the Kids Zone and rodeo events, require tickets. For more details or to plan your visit, check the event listing on the Rocky View County events calendar.
