Families in Westlock can now check practice and game times for the upcoming minor hockey season. The Westlock Minor Hockey Association has posted its 2026-27 ice schedule on its website, including regular practice times and September conditioning and evaluation ice times.
The schedule covers players in all age divisions from U7 through U18 at Westlock’s Rotary Spirit Centre. The association says the schedule is subject to change, particularly once ice is ready at the Linaria rink.
Registration is still open for the season. The North Eastern Alberta Hockey League, which oversees minor hockey in the region, has set October 2 as the team registration deadline. Tiering runs from October 17 to November 8, with no tournaments during that period. The regular season begins November 13, 2026.
Ice Scheduler Kristy MacPhearson was credited for completing the schedule efficiently. The association is looking for someone to shadow her position for anyone who enjoys spreadsheets and schedules.
