Chestermere residents can look forward to a full day of family fun on Sunday, September 27, 2026, when the Main Street Harvest Market and Vintage Car Show takes over the city’s Main Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The City of Chestermere has added the combined event to its fall calendar, bringing local vendors, artisan goods, and a classic car display together in one afternoon.
The event builds on the success of previous Main Street Harvest Markets, which have become a seasonal tradition in the community. The 2025 edition was hosted in partnership with local business Nu-Gen Dental Hygiene & Wellness and featured vintage cars alongside market vendors, artisan crafts, food, and family activities including a petting zoo and monster obstacle course. The 2026 event continues that tradition, adding a vintage car show to the day’s lineup.
The harvest market has grown alongside Chestermere itself. According to the 2025 Municipal Census, the city’s population reached 32,255, making it one of the fastest-growing communities in the Calgary region. Events like this provide a way for residents to connect with local businesses and each other, according to the City of Chestermere’s event listing. The city also runs a Show and Shine each Tuesday evening during the spring-to-fall season at Chestermere Landing, so the addition of a vintage car show to the harvest market is a natural fit for the community’s car enthusiasts.
The Chestermere Country Fair, presented by the Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society, remains the community’s oldest ongoing annual event, held each September. This year’s fair is scheduled for September 12, two weeks before the harvest market and car show, giving residents a busy stretch of fall activities.
