The 21st Annual Black & White Gala in support of the Pembroke Regional Hospital will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Normandy Officers’ Mess in Garrison Petawawa. The event aims to complete fundraising for a new CT Scanner that will serve thousands of patients across Renfrew County.
The new scanner will provide faster and more advanced diagnostic imaging, performing more than 15,000 scans each year. The hospital’s current scanner is 14 years old and is one of only three CT scanners in all of Renfrew County.
Dr. Christy Natsis, event chair and chair of the hospital foundation’s Together, We Care Campaign, said the community has already shown incredible support, and this gala will help bring the project across the finish line. The campaign has a $10 million goal and has reached nearly 75 per cent of its target.
Over the past 20 years, the Black & White Gala has raised more than $3 million for local health care. Tickets for this year’s event are nearly sold out, and a wait list is being maintained. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
The new CT Scanner is expected to be operational this fall. Major donors include Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and the Nuclear Laboratory Partners of Canada, which pledged $250,000 to support the purchase.
