As of 11:00 AM Monday at the Pibroch weather station near Westlock, the temperature had already climbed to 14.2°C with light winds at 10 km/h and 74 percent humidity. The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud through the afternoon, with a moderate UV index of 4.
The warm spell continues through midweek. Tuesday will see a high of 20°C and Wednesday 17°C, still mild for late September. But a cold front is expected to arrive Thursday night into Friday, bringing a shift to cooler, wetter conditions.
By Friday, September 25, the high will drop to just 12°C with a 40 percent chance of showers during the day and a 60 percent chance at night. Overnight lows are expected to dip to plus 4°C, a sharp contrast from the start of the week. The weekend forecast shows highs of 14°C for both Saturday and Sunday, closer to seasonal averages.
