The Carstairs & District Agricultural Society will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a Harvestfest Dinner on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Carstairs Community Hall. The event runs from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and features a harvest-inspired meal, live music, and a festive atmosphere. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support ongoing maintenance and upgrades to the Carstairs Curling Club, a community facility used year-round.
The Carstairs & District Agricultural Society has been a part of the community since 1976. This milestone event honours the past, celebrates the present, and looks ahead to the future of agriculture in the region.
The Harvestfest Dinner is one of several annual events organized by the society, which also runs Beef & Barley Days and Aggie Days Mountain View. The society is one of 291 Agricultural Societies in Alberta, a provincial network with roots dating back to 1879.
The Carstairs Curling Club, located at 315 Veterans Way, offers leagues for juniors, adults, and Sturling, and is used by many community groups throughout the year. Money raised at the dinner will help keep the facility in good shape for everyone who uses it.
