The Town of Ajax, Ontario, is hosting its annual 2026 Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Audley Recreation Centre to connect residents with more than 30 local community groups. This event gives people a chance to find new ways to give back to the community, including positions for youth and spots on local boards.
According to the Town of Ajax, organizations from sectors like social services, arts, and sports will be recruiting on-site. Visitors can talk directly with these groups to learn about specific duties and how to apply for various open roles.
The fair happens during National Volunteer Week, which runs across Canada from April 19 to April 25, 2026. The town uses this event to help prepare residents for the next official volunteer training cycle that takes place in late June 2026.
Residents as young as 14 can look for volunteer opportunities at the fair. Those 18 and older are required to have a criminal reference check and a screening for working with vulnerable people to qualify for most positions.
