Residents should verify location details for specific chains, as business availability can vary by region. Drips Cafe, a brand often discussed in regional commerce news, currently operates in Brampton and Woodbridge, but does not have a location in Ajax.
The town’s café scene remains active and has previously gained national attention. Biscuits to Baskets, a popular bakery and café that originated in Ajax, was highlighted during a 2024 regional food tour, drawing interest to the unique small businesses operating within the community.
To recognize the contributions of local business owners, the Ajax Rotary Club has introduced the 2026 Ajax Rotary Club Small Business of the Year Award. This initiative aims to celebrate the leaders behind the small and medium-sized enterprises that form the backbone of the local economy.
