The Durham Regional Police Service is asking for the public’s help after shots were fired outside a local restaurant in Ajax, Ontario, on May 18, 2026.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Cloud 9 Bar and Grill, located at 368 Bayly Street West, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Police arrived at the scene to find a large group of patrons fleeing the area following a physical altercation. No injuries have been reported to the police.
The investigation is being led by the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch. Detectives are asking anyone who may have cell phone video, dash cam footage, surveillance recordings, or any other information regarding the incident to contact D/Cst. Storey at 1-888-579-1520, extension 1905.
Those who wish to remain anonymous can submit tips to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tipsters who provide information through this program may be eligible for a cash reward.
