The Kǫ̀ Gocho Sportsplex Centre in Behchokǫ̀, Northwest Territories, is closed for all services and programs from March 16 through March 29, 2026. This closure is due to frozen pipes inside the building.
The Tłı̨chǫ Government decided to halt all operations to carry out the required repairs. During this time, residents will not have access to the gym, fitness classes, or any other recreational activities.
The closure happens during the local Spring Break, which impacts youth activities and general public access to the facility. Community members will need to find other ways to stay active until the building is ready to reopen.
Updates on when the centre will be back in service will be shared when they are ready. Residents are encouraged to wait for official confirmation before visiting the facility again.
