Residents in Behchokǫ̀, Northwest Territories, can attend a supportive gathering this weekend designed to help those in recovery connect with their neighbours. The New Beginnings Narcotics Anonymous meeting will take place at the local Friendship Centre on March 15, 2026.
The meeting runs from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm and is meant to provide a safe and confidential space for people to listen and support one another. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend the event to hear recovery stories and build local connections.
The Tłı̨chǫ Government is organizing the meeting as part of a larger effort to improve community health. Light snacks, coffee, and tea will be served to those who drop in for the recovery talks and peer support.
This gathering is one of many wellness programs being held in the community throughout the month of March. Other local initiatives include workshops on trauma and grief, diabetes education, and life-skills training for young people.
