Bonnyville residents can stock up on affordable reading material during the Bonnyville Municipal Library’s annual used book sale, running from Monday, August 31 through Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The sale features a wide range of gently used items at bargain prices, including adult hardcovers and trade paperbacks for $1.00, children’s books from $0.25 to $1.00, DVDs at 5 for $1.00, video games for $1.00, board games and puzzles for 50 cents, music CDs at 25 cents or 5 for $1.00, and audio books for $1.00.
Cash and card payments are accepted, though card transactions require a minimum $3 purchase due to processing fees. The sale takes place during regular library hours at 4804-49 Avenue: Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the library is closed Saturdays and Sundays.
The library serves a community of approximately 7,400 residents, and its annual sale has become a popular September tradition, described by the library as “everybody’s favourite September event.”
