On February 17, 2026, the Trillium Lakelands District School Board Director of Education released the Winter 2026 Student Achievement and Well-being newsletter for families in Bracebridge, Ontario. This update gives parents and staff a central place to find information on school priorities, student support programs, and local school contacts.
A new program launched this year provides all kindergarten students and their families with activities focused on social-emotional skill development. The board also recently started a new Outdoor Education and Indigenous Centre Committee to help students learn outside while following the provincial curriculum.
The newsletter is released three times a year to show progress on the board’s five-year plan for student success and inclusion. In the local community, Bracebridge Public School is led by Principal Tischa Hetherington and Vice-principal James McIntosh, with Esther Childs serving as the school board trustee.
During a recent meeting, Director Wes Hahn recognized staff member Erin Rowsell for her work managing the school board’s computer systems and student information. These updates are part of the board’s ongoing effort to keep learning environments safe and organized for all students.
