The Town of Bracebridge is looking to fill two key summer recreation jobs, with applications closing July 31, 2026. The municipality is hiring a Recreation Programmer for children and youth, as well as an Aquatics Lead Instructor, to help deliver programs at local facilities during the busy summer months.
The Recreation Programmer role comes with a starting wage of $32.15 an hour and involves running the town’s recreation programs and events. The Aquatics Lead Instructor position starts at $26.98 an hour and focuses on swim lessons and aquatic leadership. Both are full-time OPSEU bargaining unit jobs working 35 hours a week at places like the Bracebridge Sportsplex.
With Bracebridge’s population of over 17,000 nearly doubling in the summer, these roles are critical for keeping recreation services going. The summer lineup includes swim lessons for all ages, day camps, and aqua fitness classes. The Sportsplex features three pools, giving instructors plenty of space for lessons and programs.

The Recreation Programmer posting asks for at least two years of experience and a diploma in recreation or a related field.
