The Town of Bracebridge has announced a series of road and parking lot closures for the Muskoka Pride Parade on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Drivers and residents should expect disruptions downtown between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The closures include Rene Caisse Lane from Manitoba Street to Kimberley Avenue, which will be shut from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. James Street between Ida Street and Ann Street will close from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ida Street from Manitoba Street to James Street and Manitoba Street from Ida Street to Entrance Drive will both be closed from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The Muskoka Pride Parade, first introduced in 2018, will start at Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m. and travel along Manitoba Street. The parade is the centerpiece of Muskoka Pride Week, now in its 18th year, running July 18 to 26 under the theme “Still here. Still fighting. Still proud!”
Following the parade, a festival will run at Memorial Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring more than 50 vendors, food trucks, family activities, live music from Broadtree, and local drag performances. Organizers say the event draws growing crowds each year, highlighting the importance of 2SLGBTQ+ visibility in small communities.
The Town of Bracebridge is coordinating with the District of Muskoka to manage the closures and ensure public safety. Residents are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra time if travelling through the area.
