The Brantford Police Service is investigating the sudden deaths of a 32-year-old woman and her 2-year-old son, who were found inside a home in the West Brant neighbourhood on April 2, 2026.
Officers arrived at a residence on Obediah Crescent at approximately 5:15 p.m. after receiving a call for service. Upon arrival, they discovered both individuals without vital signs. They were pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to police, the investigation remains active under case number 26-11903, and the Office of the Chief Coroner has been notified. The names of the deceased have not been released out of respect for family privacy.
Robin Matthews-Osmond, the communications manager for the police service, confirmed that investigators have determined there is no threat to public safety at this time. Authorities are not seeking any suspects in connection with the incident.
