Students from North Park Collegiate and Pauline Johnson Collegiate in Brantford, Ontario, secured multiple titles at the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk senior badminton championships held on April 9, 2026.
The competition, which took place at St. John’s College, saw North Park Collegiate student Ciena Jamieson capture the girls singles title. In the boys doubles division, North Park Collegiate teammates Andrew Song and Pierce Luscombe earned the top spot, while Pauline Johnson Collegiate students Blair Matthews and Aliah Barna successfully defended their senior girls doubles championship for the second year in a row.
Other notable performances at the tournament included Assumption College student Chris Adiwinata, who won the boys singles championship. In the mixed doubles division, Assumption College students Victoria Chan and Matt MacLean took home the title. Although the individual categories were highlighted by these wins, Assumption College School secured the overall team championship with 41 points, narrowly finishing ahead of North Park Collegiate, which finished with 37 points.
Following their performances at the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk tournament, the champions advanced to compete at the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association championships held on April 16, 2026, at Conestoga College.
According to the Grand Erie District School Board, these achievements highlight the competitive strength of the athletic programs within the local school community.
