The Brantford Police Service arrested six people and seized over $70,000 worth of illegal drugs during a raid at a downtown home in Brantford, Ontario, on February 27, 2026. Specialized officers from the Core Engagement and Response Team and the Emergency Response Team carried out the search warrant to remove dangerous drugs from the community and reduce the risk of overdoses.
During the search, investigators found 770 hydromorphone pills, 173 grams of cocaine, and 136.6 grams of fentanyl. They also seized 9.5 grams of methamphetamine, with the total street value of all the drugs taken from the home estimated at $70,942.
Five people from Brantford and one man from Brampton were arrested in connection with the investigation. Five of the suspects are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin, while one person was charged with simple possession of fentanyl.
The investigation began in the winter of 2026 and lasted several weeks before police searched the downtown residence. Officers are asking residents to report any suspicious activity or provide video footage to help them continue stopping drug sales in the community.
