The County of Brant, Ontario, is asking for volunteers to help plant 1,000 trees during its 11th annual community event at Rising Park in Glen Morris on April 18, 2026.
The planting will take place from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at the park located at 5 Brook Street. People of all ages are welcome to participate and help grow the local forest area.
Organizers from the county forestry department say the new trees will help clean the local air and provide better homes for wildlife. The project is part of a long-term plan to protect the environment and support the health of the community.
This community event is one of the main activities held to celebrate Earth Week. Residents are encouraged to bring their families out to help reach the goal of adding one thousand new trees to the landscape.
