The Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course and Learning Centre in Brantford is reopening for the 2026 season on Friday, April 17, 2026. Local golfers can look forward to the return of full operations, as the golf course, driving range, Pro Shop, and Wally’s Grill and Patio all resume service this week.
Located at 320 Balmoral Drive, the facility was previously known as the Northridge Municipal Golf Course before it was renamed in 2021 to honor the late Walter Gretzky. The course originally opened in 1957 and features a mature 18-hole championship layout that includes large greens, contoured fairways, and white bunker sand.
Residents looking to secure a game can book tee times up to seven days in advance. Bookings can be made through the City of Brantford online booking portal or by calling the Pro Shop at 519-753-6112 extension 4.
The facility is managed by the City of Brantford, with Jeff Moore serving as the CPGA Head Professional and Business Manager for Golf Operations. The course had been closed for the season since November 7, 2025.
