Churchill, Manitoba residents have two new local job opportunities to consider, as Parks Canada and a private physiotherapy clinic posted listings on the federal Job Bank in late August.
Parks Canada is hiring a Technical Services Officer for Churchill, offering $71,741 annually on a term contract. The position leads and manages the maintenance team at National Historic Sites in the northern area of the Manitoba Field Unit. The posting went up on August 24, 2026.
The other new listing came from Cornerstone Physiotherapy on August 25, 2026, for a part-time physiotherapist at $72.50 to $98.00 per hour. However, that position is for a virtual team and requires Ontario residency and registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, so it may not be a local employment option for Churchill residents.
The new posts are part of an ongoing list of federal and healthcare positions near Churchill. Existing listings include a Transport Canada Civil Aviation Safety Inspector role at $101,373 annually and a position with Speech Therapy Works. Residents can search all current opportunities through the federal Job Bank website.
For the roughly 900 people living in Churchill, job postings are notable because local residents report about half of the town is currently unemployed. The Port of Churchill, owned by Arctic Gateway Group, is also hiring four seasonal positions, including a Security Guard and Journeyperson Electrician, as part of a growing season. The federal government has committed $175 million over five years for Hudson Bay Railway and Port of Churchill expansion. Manitoba’s overall employment increased 1.9 percent year-over-year in July 2026, adding 14,100 jobs.
