Collingwood police seized over a kilogram of cocaine, hundreds of grams of other drugs, cash and weapons during a raid in Collingwood on June 12, 2026. Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP, with help from Huronia West, executed a search warrant at a local home. Two Collingwood residents were arrested and now face multiple trafficking and weapons charges.
Darren Devane, 28, and Makayla Brown, 22, were taken into custody. Investigators found 1,004.8 grams of cocaine, 643 grams of cannabis and 107.3 grams of MDMA inside the home. They also seized $12,930 in cash, a stun gun, bear spray, a digital scale, packing material, three cell phones and bulk unmarked cigarettes.
Both Devane and Brown face charges that include possession of a schedule one substance for opioid and cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime and unauthorized possession of a weapon. They are expected to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
The bust was led by the Collingwood OPP Community Street Crime Unit, a team that focuses on drug trafficking in the area. This arrest is part of a string of drug investigations across Simcoe County in 2026, where officers have seized large amounts of cocaine, fentanyl and firearms in recent months.
