Dauphin, Manitoba is in for a wet start to the week before conditions clear and warm up, according to Environment Canada. Showers and a risk of thunderstorms are expected Monday night and Tuesday, but by Wednesday sunny skies will take over with temperatures climbing to 24°C by Thursday.
The forecast calls for cloudy skies this evening with showers beginning. There is a risk of a thunderstorm late this evening and overnight. Rainfall amounts of 5 to 10 mm are likely. The low will be around 12°C. On Tuesday, showers continue with another risk of a thunderstorm and another 5 to 10 mm of rain. The high will reach only 16°C.
Things improve Wednesday with sunny skies and a high of 22°C. Thursday will be the warmest day of the week at 24°C, which is right around the seasonal normal. Friday stays sunny with a high of 23°C. So after a damp start, residents can look forward to pleasant late-June weather for outdoor plans.
As of noon Monday, conditions at Dauphin Airport were cloudy with a temperature of 18°C and east-southeast winds at 18 km/h. The Weather Network reported a 90% chance of rain Monday with 1 to 3 mm expected and a high of 19°C.
Meanwhile, Manitoba’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre reports Dauphin Lake is at 856.34 feet above sea level as of June 22, 2026. That’s well below the flood stage of 858 feet but above the upper operating range of 854.8 feet. The rain this week may cause a slight rise, but the lake is expected to stay below flood levels.
Today also marks 19 years since Canada’s only F5 tornado touched down in Elie, Manitoba on June 22, 2007. While that powerful storm is a reminder of the region’s wild weather history, this week’s forecast is much calmer after the early showers move out.
