Residents in Dauphin, Manitoba, recently had the opportunity to review and provide feedback on the city’s proposed 2026 financial plan during a special council meeting held on May 4, 2026.
The 2026 Draft Financial Plan, which outlines the city’s funding priorities for the year, was made available for public inspection at City Hall and on the City of Dauphin website prior to the session. The meeting provided a venue for community members to ask questions and share their thoughts with local officials before the budget is finalized.
The financial planning process is being overseen by City Manager Sharla Griffiths and Director of Finance Scott Carr.
Looking ahead, Mayor Bosiak is set to deliver his annual State of the City Address on May 12, 2026. Presented by the Parkland Chamber of Commerce, the address will offer residents a recap of the past year and an overview of upcoming local initiatives. This year’s financial discussions occur against the backdrop of recent provincial funding, including a $7 million commitment in the provincial budget toward the $142 million Dauphin Centre for Community Justice, with construction work expected to begin this fiscal year.
