Residents of Gimli, Manitoba, can enjoy a free concert by the band Damn Straight at the Gimli Harbour stage on August 8, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The performance is part of the Rockin’ Gimli Harbour Concert Series, a summer-long event organized by the Rural Municipality of Gimli.
Damn Straight has been filling dance floors for nearly 30 years. Fronted by original member Dean Hunter, the band is known for a wide-ranging setlist that includes rock, country, pop, and current hits. They have performed across Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and even at WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
The free concert series runs from June 13 to September 6, 2026, at the scenic waterfront venue. There are no shows on July 25 and August 1 due to the Gimli International Film Festival and the Icelandic Festival of Manitoba. This year’s season is supported by local businesses, including Platinum+ sponsors Chudds and Gimli Ford, along with numerous other sponsors.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the show by Lake Winnipeg. The series continues on August 15 with performances by Forever and Always and Heartbreaker. For more information on the Rockin’ Gimli Harbour Concert Series, visit the municipality’s website.
