Gimli, Manitoba, will see a soggy start to the week before skies clear and temperatures warm up, according to Environment Canada.
As of Monday, September 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM CDT, Gimli was experiencing 11.1°C with 94% humidity and southeast winds gusting to 39 km/h. Heavy showers are expected through the day, with 15 to 25 mm of rain possible and a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Tuesday will begin mainly cloudy, but conditions are expected to clear late in the afternoon, with a high of 17°C. Wednesday brings periods of rain and a high of 15°C, which is slightly below the September normal of 18°C, according to Environment Canada.
By Thursday, sunny skies return with a high of 20°C, and the warming trend continues through the weekend with a mix of sun and cloud and highs around 20°C, about two degrees above normal for this time of year.
No weather alerts are in effect for the Interlake region as of Monday afternoon, Environment Canada said. The mild conditions should make for good outdoor plans later in the week, following the mid-week rain.
