The Town of High Level is now running its Awesome Adventures Summer Day Camp, giving kids aged 6 to 10 a place to go while school is out. The camp started June 15 and runs through August 28, 2026, with supervised activities every Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Town Office on 103 Street.
Parents can register for the program at the Town of High Level office or online. The cost is $130 per child per week, and each week has 30 spots. Registration opened May 1, and families can still sign up as long as space is available.
Kayla Wardley, the town’s Community Development Manager, said the camp makes use of several community spaces. “All camps will take place at the Town of High Level office and at other town facilities, such as the pool and the arena,” she told CFWE. Weekly themes include field trips, crafts, games, and Movie Fridays.
The camp fills a real need in this northern Alberta community of about 4,400 people, where summer childcare options are limited. Working parents who need a safe and affordable program for their elementary-school-aged kids can get details by contacting the Town Office directly.
