The Call of the West Museum in High River is hosting its annual Swap Meet on September 26, 2026, at the High River Ag Society Rodeo Grounds. The volunteer-run museum welcomes buyers and sellers of antique parts, vintage car parts, farm equipment, and collectibles to connect for a day of trading and community spirit.
Last year’s event drew over 350 people, and organizers expect another strong turnout. The museum says the Swap Meet is a chance to “buy or sell some parts” while supporting a unique heritage attraction in southern Alberta.
The Call of the West Museum was founded in 2013 by local resident Al Millard and houses one of the largest collections of vintage Ford tractors in western Canada. The museum is operated by volunteers and features exhibits on agriculture, transportation, and oil development in the High River area.
The Swap Meet takes place at 64137 Highway 543 East, High River, Alberta, on the grounds of the High River Agricultural Society, a not-for-profit organization established in 1907.
For those interested in automotive heritage, the museum also partners with the River City Classics Car Club, whose annual Show & Shine event draws more than a thousand vehicles and an estimated 12,000 visitors to High River.
