Kensington, PEI – Hockey PEI is hiring a new Hockey Operations Coordinator as the 2026-2027 season approaches, a move that could affect how the Kensington & Area Minor Hockey Association interacts with the provincial governing body.
The organization posted the permanent position on September 3, 2026, with applications due September 25, 2026. The new coordinator will report to Executive Director Tami Lewis and earn between $44,000 and $55,000 per year based on a 37.5-hour work week.
The role supports council operations across Minor, Female, Junior, Officiating, and Development divisions, handling tasks like meeting coordination, member communications, complaint management, and league scheduling. Hockey PEI currently has a three-person staff: Lewis, Technical Director Travis McIsaac, and Office Administrator Carrie Loughran.
Pat Kelly, president of Kensington & Area Minor Hockey Association, leads one of 18 associations under Hockey PEI. The Kensington association operates out of Credit Union Centre and has dealt with rising ice rental costs in recent years. A stronger operations team could change how quickly concerns from local families and volunteers are addressed at the provincial level.
