Emergency crews responded to a significant residential fire on Montreal Street in Kingston, Ontario, on the evening of March 10, 2026. Three occupants and a pet were inside one of the affected homes when the fire broke out. According to reports shared in the What’s going on in Southeastern Ontario community group, all individuals managed to evacuate safely without injuries.
Crews from Kingston Fire & Rescue worked to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading further into the historic neighborhood. Firefighters remained on the scene throughout the day to monitor for hotspots and ensure the area was secure.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Residents are advised to avoid the Charles Street area to allow emergency personnel to complete their work safely.
