Three Lethbridge Hurricanes players have been invited to NHL Development Camps, with forward Logan Stuart also securing a spot on USA Hockey’s 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase roster. The Hurricanes announced the news on June 30, 2026, highlighting a strong development path for the young athletes.
Stuart, a Manhattan Beach, California product, was drafted 208th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. In addition to his Capitals camp invite, Stuart will participate in the World Junior Summer Showcase from July 26 to August 1 at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario. He tallied 45 points across 80 games with the USNTDP U18 team last season.
Fellow Hurricane Dayne Beuker is headed to New York Rangers Development Camp. Originally from Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Beuker is a first-round WHL Prospects Draft pick who signed with Lethbridge earlier in June. He previously represented the United States at the 2026 World Under-18 Championships, recording five points in five games.
Gavin Lesiuk, a Duncan, British Columbia forward, will join Stuart at the Washington Capitals camp. Lesiuk set career highs this past season with 14 points and a team-leading 106 penalty minutes, the first Hurricane to surpass 100 penalty minutes since the 2023-2024 campaign.
The Hurricanes view these opportunities as key steps in player growth ahead of the team’s 40th anniversary season.
