The Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club will host its annual year-end showcase in Lethbridge on April 25, 2026. The event, titled VESNA: Celebrate Spring!, features colourful displays of Ukrainian dance and culture and takes place at the Yates Memorial Theatre at 7:00 p.m.

The non-profit organization was established in 1994. Today, the club serves over 60 members ranging in age from 3 years old to adults. The upcoming performance serves as a celebration of the group’s work throughout the training season.

Under the guidance of Artistic Director Dean Mackedenski, who has led the group since 2009, the dancers perform choreography that blends traditional Ukrainian steps with contemporary influences. Lead instructor and founding member Anastasia Sereda continues to support the club’s growth, having been with the organization since it began. The club is currently led by President Donna Whitton.

In addition to its dance programming, the organization operates the Troyanda Ukrainian Newcomer Fund to welcome and support new Ukrainian arrivals in Southern Alberta. The club regularly hosts classes from September through May at the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Community Hall and CASA. Members pay monthly fees that range from $35 to $60, with discounts available for families and pre-payments.

Tickets for the showcase at the 474-seat venue are available through the City of Lethbridge ticket portal.
