Mount Pearl kids can get creative outdoors this weekend with a special art event led by a young volunteer.
The Association for the Arts in Mount Pearl (AAMP) is hosting “Outdoor Art with Alessia” on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Annex, 365 Old Placentia Road. The free drop-in event is designed and run by eight-year-old Alessia, who AAMP says is their youngest volunteer.
Alessia has put together a morning of whimsical art using silly painting techniques. Kids can also make beaded bracelets, paint rocks, and colour outside the lines. No registration is needed, and parents and caregivers are welcome to bring children for a relaxed outdoor creative session.
This event is part of a full July lineup at The Annex. The space, which opened in 2017 after 12 years of AAMP advocating for a dedicated arts home, hosts mostly free programs. Donations are welcome but not required.
