The Manitoba government is closing a section of Main Street in Niverville, Manitoba, for construction from March 12 to March 14, 2026.
The closure will take place between 2nd Avenue and 5th Avenue on the road also known as PR 311. People living or working in the area should plan for detours and potential traffic delays while the work is being finished during the three-day period.
These road improvements are necessary to help the route handle higher traffic volumes caused by fast growth in the community. The Town of Niverville has seen rapid development in both housing and business sectors, making these safety upgrades a priority.
Mayor Myron Dyck has supported these projects to help the community move from a bedroom community into a commercial hub. This work follows a previous 1.9-million-dollar investment that added new traffic signals and turning lanes to the busy road.
