The Town of Niverville will begin reconstructing 2nd Avenue South on May 26, 2026, with work near Silver Courts expected to cause temporary lane and access closures for about two weeks in Niverville, Manitoba. The town says pedestrian access will stay open during the project.
The work will include the east parking lane, the south and central vehicle approaches in front of Silver Courts, and about 100 metres of sidewalk south of 1st Street South. Residents on or near 2nd Avenue South should expect disruptions while crews are on site.
The town is also warning people not to walk on fresh concrete for at least 24 hours after it is poured. Drivers should stay off new concrete for seven days after the pour.
The project is one of four major locations in the town’s 2026 Summer Road Repairs program, which also includes 1st Street North, Hampton Drive and Hawthorne Way. The town says the work began after spring road restrictions were lifted on May 19, 2026.
