The Town of Niverville is currently recruiting students for full-time summer positions, offering local youth the chance to work within their own community during July and August 2026. As the town continues to experience rapid growth, these seasonal roles are essential for maintaining local recreation and community services.
The Niverville Recreation & Wellness department is specifically looking to hire Summer Camp Counsellors. These positions are open to students who are at least 16 years of age. Applicants must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s licence, have access to a vehicle, and obtain satisfactory criminal record and child abuse registry checks. Additionally, candidates are required to hold current CPR and First Aid certification.
The work involves split shift flexibility, with hours ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The town notes that preference for these positions will be given to local residents. These roles are part of the broader effort to support community infrastructure, which Mayor Myron Dyck has previously identified as a key priority as the town manages its status as one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Manitoba.
Applications for the Summer Camp Counsellor positions will be accepted until April 3, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Interested candidates can submit their applications via email to [email protected] or by mail to Town of Niverville, Box 267, Niverville, MB R0A 1E0. The hiring process may also be supported by the federal Canada Summer Jobs program, which provides wage subsidies to help employers hire youth aged 15 to 30.
