Theatre Orangeville will host the 2026 Creative Partners on Stage Festival from May 29 to May 31, 2026, in Orangeville, Ontario. This annual event provides a professional stage for adults with developmental disabilities to perform original plays for the local community.
The festival is a long-standing partnership between the local theatre and Community Living Dufferin. Through the Creative Partners on Stage program, actors develop their own scripts with help from professional theatre staff and accredited support workers.
Performers in the festival have access to professional directors, choreographers, and technical production teams to help bring their stories to life. The event features two original productions that showcase the creative work and talent of local residents on the theatre’s main stage.
The program is designed to break down societal barriers and build confidence by providing the same professional production standards used in other local plays. This year’s festival continues a tradition of inclusive arts that has been a part of the Orangeville community for over a decade.
