The Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival is preparing for its 2026 season in Orangeville, Ontario, as organizers confirm the return of several popular local traditions. As of March 17, 2026, the event is transitioning its focus to the upcoming summer calendar to provide residents with an early look at what to expect from the town’s major cultural celebration.
Fans of the annual event can look forward to the return of signature programs like the Blues Cruise on Broadway, the Downtown Ramble, and various music workshops. According to the Town of Orangeville, the festival will continue to offer a mix of free street performances and ticketed shows at venues like the Orangeville Opera House and Alexandra Park.
The festival has been recognized as one of the “Top 100 Festivals and Events” by Festivals and Events Ontario for more than 12 years in a row. It is led by Artistic Director and Founder Larry Kurtz and is run as a not-for-profit organization aimed at bringing the community together through music.
Local support for the event comes from the municipal government and the Orangeville Business Improvement Area. These partnerships help the festival transform the downtown core into a cultural hub that supports local businesses and draws thousands of visitors to the region each year.
