Residents and visitors attending the upcoming Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival can leave their vehicles at home this year. To help attendees navigate the downtown core, the Downtown Orangeville BIA is providing free public transportation throughout the three-day event, which runs from June 5 to June 7, 2026.
The festival, now in its 22nd season, has been recognized by Festivals and Events Ontario as one of the Top 100 festivals in the province for 13 consecutive years. To ensure easy access to the festivities, the local business group is offering free rides on Orangeville Transit during the day and a complimentary after-hours shuttle service for the entire weekend.
This year’s event features more than 103 musical groups performing across various stages in town, with a lineup that includes over 40 distinct acts. Among the performers set to take the stage are Canadian artists such as Emilie-Claire Barlow, Miss Emily, the Blackburn Brothers, the Paul James Band, and Alex Pangman & Her Alleycats.
The festival, which represents a significant economic boost for the area with approximately $1.5 million in generated activity, is supported by the local business improvement area. This organization represents over 300 businesses in the downtown core and operates under the Focus 2026 strategic plan, which aims to increase collaboration and improve accessibility for both local residents and visitors.
