Orangeville, Ontario, is set for a warm and sunny Tuesday, with Environment Canada calling for a high of 27 C, a Humidex of 29 and a UV index of 8, which is considered very high. No weather alerts were in effect for the community as of Monday evening.
Environment Canada says Tuesday will stay sunny, with wind becoming west at 20 km/h late in the morning. The overnight low is expected to hold at 16 C.
With the UV index at 8, residents spending time outdoors should use sun protection, including sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, and try to limit direct sun exposure between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the federal weather agency. Environment Canada also says a Humidex above 30 can cause some discomfort and may mean people need to limit or adjust outdoor exercise.
The rest of the week is expected to stay mostly pleasant, with a 30 per cent chance of showers on Wednesday before sunny conditions return on Thursday. A mix of sun and cloud is forecast through the weekend, with daytime highs around 20 C to 21 C.
