Oshawa Public Libraries is throwing free parties this week to help local families start their March Break. The events, called the March Break Kick-Off Party, will take place at all library branches in Oshawa on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Families can drop in between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to take part in various activities. The afternoon will include crafts, games, and other fun programs designed for the whole family. Because these are drop-in events, no prior sign-up or registration is required to attend.
These parties provide a fun way for students to begin their vacation on what is a Professional Activity (PA) Day for local schools. The official March Break holiday for students in the area runs from March 14 to March 22, 2026.
The library system hosts these sessions to act as a community hub where residents can find free entertainment close to home. By providing these activities at every branch, the library offers an easy way for parents to keep children busy as they transition into the holiday break.
