The City of Oshawa, Ontario, is looking for residents to volunteer for two groups that help make decisions about local art and culture projects. People can apply for positions on the Cultural Leadership Council or the Public Art Task Force until April 13, 2026.
These volunteers help the city grow its creative sector and decide which public art projects should be built in the community. Members of the Public Art Task Force also help run art competitions and review official city policies regarding local art.
Selected residents will serve for two years and usually meet at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every other month. This opportunity is open to local artists, business owners, and any resident who wants to provide advice to city staff.
All applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on April 13, 2026. These advisory roles help ensure that the city’s arts and heritage plans reflect the needs and interests of the people living in Oshawa.
